In den 90ern
glaubten eigentlich die meisten Fans von traditionellem Metal Iced Earth könnten
einmal Iron Maiden als größte Metal Band des Planeten beerben. Doch es kam anders,
auch aufgrund des damaligen Sängerwechsels. Ripper Owens (ex-Judas Priest) kam
für Matt Barlow. Dies hatten viele Fans der Band um Mastermind Jon Schaffer
nicht verziehen. Mittlerweile ist Barlow aber wieder in der Band und man darf
gespannt sein wo die Reise nach dem schwachen 'The Crucible Of Man' Album aus
2008 hingeht.
Die vorliegende 'Box Of The Wicked' kommt als Hardcover Boxset (13 x 4,5 x 14,5
cm). Enthalten sind die Digipaks von 'Framing Armageddon', 'Crucible Of Man',
'Overture Of The Wicked'-Maxi-CD (inkl. neu aufgenommenen Songs mit Tim "Ripper"
Owens am Gesang) und die 'I walk among you'-Maxi-CD (mit neu aufgenommenen Songs).
Das absolute Schmankerl ist die Bonus-CD im Pappschuber, die eine neu aufgenommene
Version von "A Charge To Keep" mit Matt Barlow am Gesang und 3 weiteren, bisher
unveröffentlichten Livetracks enthält. Schließlich liegen noch ein 12 Seiten
umfassenden Booklet mit neuem Fotomaterial & Linernotes sowie ein A-1 Poster
bei.
Eine coole Sache u. value for money für alle Fans, da die Box zu einem
Preis von 20 bis 25 €uro zu haben ist!
